Nigeria Marks International Peace Day
As the global community celebrates the 2018 international peace day, Nigerians have been advised to imbibe the culture of peace for the nation to make progress.

Nigeria Marks International Peace Day
This was the message at a mediation forum in Abuja to commemorate the United Nations international day of peace.
In 1981 the United Nations in a resolution established the international peace day which was first celebrated in 1982, a day observed around the world every year to strengthen the ideals of peace among all nations.
With Nigeria faced with prolonged conflicts in recent times -the mediation forum was organised to harvest suggestions on why all Nigerians should embrace peace at all times.
Some participants at the forum said peace can only be attained in any nation when people recognise the need to tolerate one another.
The theme of this year’s peace day is “right to peace” programmed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the declaration of human rights.
