Football: Jack Warner’s corruption name reoccurs
Qatari’s world cup organising committee has denied claims in the media that its bid to host the 2022 FIFA world cup flawed by corruption.

News in the media has it that former FIFA vice president, Jack warner and his family were paid about two million dollars by a company owned by an ex-football official from Qatar.
Reacting to this claim Qatar’s 2022 world cup committee said the bid.
Committee strictly adhered to FIFA’s bidding regulations in compliance with their code of ethics.
However, a United Kingdom based newspaper the Daily Telegraph claims it has seen documents showing that Jack Warner, his sons and one of his employees were paid about two million pounds.
According to the newspaper some of the payments were made shortly after Qatar won the right to host the 2022 world cup.
This discovery may give another dimension to on going investigations by FIFA’s ethics committee into the irregularities surrounding the world cup bidding process.
The committee is expected to deliver its report later in the year.
