The Nigerian government has been asked to increase funding to help reduce the effect of climate change in the country.

E.U. Urges Nigeria To Increase Funding For Climate Change Programme

Deputy German ambassador to Nigeria, Regine Hess said this in Abuja, at the 2018 EU climate diplomacy week.

Regine Hess said until the key players are provided with adequate funding Nigeria may not be able to achieve it’s set vision of 30% renewable energy sufficiency.

Other speakers believe the Abuja meeting will help to provide the global transition to low emissions, resilient and translate to resource efficient economy

The forum agreed that the climate diplomacy will raise public awareness and provide politics and practices for a climate resilient future.
