COURT RESERVES JUDGMENT ON THE CASE AGAINST OWNERS OF AMIGOS & WONDERLAND
A Federal High Court in Abuja has reserved judgment in the matter involving three Lebanese nationals, Mustapha Fawaz, Aballah Yawini and Talal Ahmad Roda, owners of Amigo supermarket and Wonderland Amusement park in Abuja for alleged importation and possession of prohibited arms and ammunitions.

The trio, alongside Amigo supermarket and Wonderland park are facing trial on amended 16-count charge of terrorism related offences.
In his submission before the court, the Prosecutor, Simon Eyedo, disagreed with the Defence’ argument that the three Lebanese can not be called terrorists since an act of National Assembly clearly spelt out acts of terrorism.
The defence counsel, Robert Clark had argued that it is wrong to try the accused persons in Abuja since the alleged offence was committed in Kano. He also submitted that the three Lebanese could not be called terrorists since there is no gazette to that effect.
In another related matter, Justice Adeniyi also reserved judgment in a case involving a suspected member of the Boko Haram sect linked to Thisday newspaper bombing in 2012.
