Commander “Operation Whirl Stroke” Promises To End Herder Attacks
The Commander “Operation Whirl Stroke”, Major General Adeyemi Yekini has reaffirmed his resolution to bring to a complete end the activities of Armed Herders and other Criminal Elements disturbing the Peace of Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba States.

General Yekini gave the Assurance on Monday in Makurdi the Benue State Capital when the State Governor Samuel Ortom paid him a condolence visit over a Soldier who was killed during a recent exchange between the Force and Armed Herders.
Governor Samuel Ortom was at the Operations Headquarters in Makurdi where he commiserated with the Commander Major General Adeyemi Yekini over the recent loss of one of his men in the line of duty.
Governor Ortom proceeded to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital to visit some wounded Soldiers receiving treatment after the said attack and equally settled the Medical Bills of a little girl whose hand was chopped off by the Militia.
Similarly, the “Operation Whirl Stroke” Commander later gave an update on activities and accomplishments of the operation to Newsmen.
With some level of Improvement in Security, as outlined by the Commander he was of the opinion that the Internally Displaced Persons can now return home except for the Gbajimba Axis in Guma Local Government which is still under Threat
