The Argentina ambassador to Nigeria, Maria Del Carmen says religious tolerance is key to building a strong nation.

Argentine Ambassador Preaches Religious Tolerance
The ambassador made the comment during a courtesy visit to catholic secretariat of Nigerian, Abuja office. Carmen maintained that religion should be an instrument for promoting peace and not to create division.
The director, catholic caritas Nigeria Reverend Father Evaristus Bassey who received the ambassador on behalf of the catholic secretariat of Nigeria said, Maria Del Carmen’s visit is to redeem the image of her country following a publication by caritas Nigeria on the ill treatment of blacks by argentine authority during the nineteenth century.
Catholic caritas Nigeria is also working with caritas Argentina to promote peace among different religions and eradicate poverty from developing nations.
